Li Yee, Claude and Uncle Arthur came down from Luxembourg.
Claude had to pray before he left the house. LOL.. I don't even do it.

On Monday, mum and I took them out to Genting Highlands and they also came over to our house for dinner.

Claude and I played in the First World indoor theme park. We sat on the roller coaster, went for Bumper car, motion master, and Claude paid extra RM10 to play the Flying Coaster. Mum and the others were in the Casino.

On the way home from Genting, we stopped at Taman Melawati to have KFC. They only get to eat KFC when they come down to KL because they have no KFC in their country XD

Later that night, we had home-cooked food and left to send dad off to Dubai.

On tuesday, we took them to Sunway Pyramid. The first thing I did was take Claude to try Coco Loco from J.Co's. The chocolate inside the doughnut was too watery this time, that when he took one bite, the chocolate squirted out the other end. It was messy eating it.

Then, while Aunt, Uncle and mum were having coffee at J.co, Claude and I went shopping and he watched me eat my lunch;p

We went to the Arcade to play Daytona and later on, Archery.

Met up with mum and aunt in Jusco supermarket doing grocery shopping for dinner.

Japanese Drum Concert

Date: 20th January 2007
Time: 8pm
Venue: Istana Budaya, Jln. Tun Razak

I was really impressed with the deco in Istana Budaya. I've been there to watch Cats and Puteri Gunung Ledang performance but I've always sat on the veranda section. This time round, when watching the Japanese Drum Concert, I had seats below, ten rows from the stage. The balconies on my left and right made me feel like I was in some English theater where ladies wore long, beautiful gowns with their hair styled up to the top of their heads while men looking marvelous in black tuxedos and red cravats. The ceiling made the theater look huge and grand.

The dress code for the event was 'smart casual'. It took some rummaging in my wardrobe to decide what was 'smart casual'. It's hard to dress up looking casual and smart at the same time.

The Japanese drum performance was a blast. The performers could really play the drums well and since I was sitting near the stage, I could see their expressions clearly. I could feel their aching muscles on their arms whenever they continuously beat the drums with increasing speed. So cool.
I would have loved to snap pictures but we weren't allowed to. A few people did and the person in charge shined the laser light at them to tell them to stop; which was embarrassing.
I seriously itch to take photos of the great performance. So, I waited till the end while people were standing and cheering, to snap a few shots discreetly.

The performance was truly an impressive one. I'm glad I got to watch it.
*Oh, the men drummers were super muscular and handsome;p*

I was having my exams the next day so it wasn't a huge celebration. We had dinner at Overseas Restaurant in Bukit Bintang with big ko, granpa, and uncle Raymond. Uncle Raymond's wife and kid was suppose to come too but they did not.. Hence, we had to ta pao most of the food from the nine course meal that we had..

The dessert was something different. It was a coconut with longan and something sweet inside. It was served hot. There was also fried yam with red bean inside as dessert.
We sang the birthday song, had cake and went home..

Thanksgiving Day has the ended. It's another celebration which is not common among the Malaysians except the Christians. Buying a turkey is expensive here. I remember in Richmond last year, small ko cooked the turkey. Was I with her when she bought the turkey? I don't remember. It was a holiday. We had lunch with all the Osaka ppl in Super King Buffet while the turkey was left in the oven to be cooked. It' s too bad it did not cross my mind to snap any photos on that day. Now I'm sitting here regretting it.

This is Super King Buffet. Where scrumptious delicacies are found. Well, at least some of the food are yummy. The first time I went there, I was impressed at how spacious the restaurant was and amazed at the variety of food served. But, a book should not be judged by its cover. First thing I tried was the dim sum as I'm a dim sum lover back here in KL. Sadly, the dim sum at the buffet was not that impressive. Maybe I already had it in my mind that dim sum standard was always great overseas. But, I've tasted better dim sum elsewhere. Then, there were other food like pork, chicken, shrimps and fish which were cooked the chinese style. Boleh tahan lah.. Darn it.. I have no photos of the food I ate there. There was a japanese food section too. Yucky sushi. The best part was the desset. Obviously no restaurants can go wrong when serving fruits and ice cream:)

For the months I've stayed in Richmond, I've been to Super King Buffet four times. First time was tdurng the first weekend I was there. The second was during Thanksgiving. The third was during small ko's birthday. And the last was during another weekend.

THANKS A BUNCH, U GUYS FOR BRINGING ME THERE! hugz~~

I'm current on my semester break. The rainy season is here. Thunderstorms every single day preventing me from watching tv and going swimming. So, I'm on the internet most fo the time playing games or chatting.

Models

Last September, Gaik Li and I did a photoshoot for the November issue of Prestige Malaysia magazine. The photoshoot was held in Hyatt Saujana Golf Resort. the team consists of a fashion director@stylist, hair-stylist, make-up artist and the photographer. We took about two hours to finish up with the hair and make-up.
.
For the first two pictures we had seriously too much make-up on the both of us till we looked so different. Each pose took about forty shots. The next three shots looks pretty nice to me.
It was fun modelling. It was like being a princess for a day:)

One year ago...

It was autumn in Richmond and it was my first time experiencing it. Pretty awesome weather as it was windy and the temperature was just right. Yes, autumn was fine till it came to raking the leaves. I've watched people rake leaves before in the movies but I never thought it was actually a tiring job. It did look easy.

The pic shows me on the pile of leaves after it was gathered from the whole garden. Yes, with the help of small ko, Tifany and the leave blower, the shots turned out pretty good.
