IMU's Got Talent

There's this talent competition going on since last week in IMU.

There were a couple of performances yesterday at the Atrium

I attended the semi-finals show today, but only stayed to support Amylene. I would have loved to stay and watch the whole show, but PRIORITIES....!

Amylene performed tap-dancing. I find it really cool to know how to tap dance.

Here's a glimpse of Amylene's semi-finals performance.

I'm also in the midst of finding good quality video uploaders. Thus, wanting to kill two birds with one stone, I uploaded a short video using blogger's upload(above), and another one using motionbox's uploader.

As for now, I'd stick to Motionbox :)

In my opinion, Amylene did a great job considering the fact that the wooden boards she was dancing on were not meant for tap-dancing as it was slippery. Kudos to her =)

FYI, I am not doing any write up or picture postings on any of the other contestants because...

I WANT ALL OF YOU TO VOTE FOR AMYLENE IN THE FINALS!

And so I finally met that horrid cab driver I've been reading about

I needed to get a ride to KLCC from IMU today.

I hailed a cab outside campus, opened the front passenger's door and asked the cab driver if he could take me to KLCC.

He said can but told me it would cost RM30.

I could feel my insides burning with rage.

Freaking Iranian looking cab driver trying to rip me off RM30. Furthermore, when the journey is to KLCC- My territory!!!

GO. AND. DIE.............!

So, I told him NO. Then he asked me how much I want him to charge. I said FOLLOW THE METRE! He said NO...

Pig!!!

He messed with the wrong lady..

Dang, I should have jotted down his car plate number and reported him, get his license revoked and with this bad ecomomy now, he would be jobless and then he will know what it is like to cheat people, especially STUDENTS!

Grrr... an asshole indeed!

A sign of stress?

I have been having unusual dreams lately.

That is, dreams I've never ever had before.

For three consecutive days, I've been having dreams about my examinations.

From the waiting time outside the exam hall, the conversations with class mates, the normal gushing of fear for a tough paper... until I enter the hall, sit and answer the question paper.

Then, poof...

I don't remember anything else.

It is weird how that part was the most vivid memory etched in my mind.

Maybe it'll be a deja vu soon.

It's like going for chess tournaments again. For that one whole tournament week, my dreams would be about the black and white checquered chess board.

Anyway, I'm going into one of my modes. I call this one Isolation Camp. It's the time of the year to forge the closest relationship with my books. For the next two months, they, the books, will be the love of my life..

The usual flow (unavoidable) when it comes to exam mode is:
Study --> Stress ---> Sleepness nights --->Acne ---> Eye bags ---> Fall sick

So, don't be suprise if i look like this when you see me:

Harrods @ KLCC is 1 week old

I chanced upon this blog. I think it is a good read for a Malaysian like me, to try to understand the situation of Malaysian movie makers, and learn to appreciate more Malaysian made films.

A three day break is here.

Friday (yesterday) was the an unusual day. I was in work mode from dawn to dusk. How exciting!
Suffice to say, I did more work than I've ever did before.

I only went to bed at 4.30am.....

Then, woke up at 8.45am......

10am: I sent my car for its weekly wash, went to Mc Donalds to wait for the car to be ready, and did some reading with a filet o fish in hand till 12pm...

At 3pm, I headed to KLCC..

Yes, the reason for the hardworking mode was to prep myself for the facial and massage appointment I made at KLCC. It was a really satisfying one. I loved it!

Later on, I did some shopping at Isetan. Isetan is currently having a Healthy Eating Fair. Mum and I spent RM56 on food from the fair!

I had three yummy bagels from Vienna Bagel.

As we were walking down the escalator, we noticed something different....

Harrods has come to Malaysia!

We walked in, checked out the stuff there, and found out they have a bar and an English cuisine restaurant inside. The bartender, Zamri, said his signature drinks were Long Island and margaritas.

Thinking back, the last time I really had a high consumption of mixed drinks was.... here

Coincidentally, after my facial, I dragged mum to Chilli's because it was happy hour and I had a sudden craving for a margarita. Alas, we didn't because there was a 10 minute wait for a non-smoking table. So, I settled for Vienna Bagel instead.

We didn't have anything in Harrods too because we just had teh tarik and coffee from the food court ;)

I'll definitely be back to check out Harrod's Bar :)

Back to normal

Mum was discharged from the hospital on Saturday. She is recovering.

Today I finally had that long, long sleep I need to recover from the busyness of last week.

Four posts straight without pictures! That's a first..
