Langkawi Island vacation ( II )

Berjaya Resort's beach was awesome, as I've mentioned in my previous post.
There were nice shady, comfy chairs to lie on or sunbath, white sandy beaches, kids playing around, and a guy on all fours wearing a purple trunk with black stripes! Hard to resist snapping a picture ;p
h

The sea water was clear and we fed bread to the tiny fishes.

While mum was resting in the chalet, the four of us played volleyball at the beach. Erm.. I mean, at least I 'tried' to play volleyball with the other three. The three- my bro, lil sis and dad, played for their school while I avoid playing the game as much as I can for I'm afraid of getting bruised.

I joined in the game for awhile, but felt more comfortable behind the lense and... my hands were lobster red.

I think I took some good shots of TY and GX playing volleyball :)

Below was how pooped GX and TY was as we did much travelling and the island was hot and sunny, making sleeping in the air-conditioned chalet so good.

Speaking of beaches, one famous place to visit is the Black Sand Beach.
Legend says it was a curse but scientific research gave another explanation to it.

There was a dent on a railing... thus the super power mode turned on again :P

Since the black sand beach was a tourist attraction, there were a number of stalls opened which sold traditional junk food and coconut watwer to quench our thirst due to the heat.

The only disadvantage of staying in a chalet so deep in were the univited guestsssss... MONKYEYS!

We returned to the chalet, it was me who opened the door. When I opened it, I saw a medium sized grey hairy monkey perched on the balcony's railing, and the balcony's door was half opened.

I did what my first instinct told me to do, which was to close the front door again as I was wearing red! It was horrifying. Then, the freaking out began. LOL.. Mum didn't join us for our outings and was in the adjoining room.

When someone opened the front door to our room again, the monkey was gone. But, it made a little mess. It ate our Kit Kat and apples.

Langkawi Island vacation ( I )

Isn't it a great feeling to know that some guy is sitting down with a glass of whiskey in his hand looking at your pictures and thinking of you~~

I was browsing through pictures in my pendrive and I realised, I did not blog about my vacation to Langkawi Island. Nostalgia hits me like a bullet while looking back on those pictures <3 br="br">
THe journey started with my mum, dad, bro and lil' sis waiting for me at a toll plaza in Perak as i had just finished a team building session by EDC in Lumut.
While waiting, my brother took a shot of my parents standing by a tree with two motorcycles next to them.. He labelled the shot as "The Older Mat Rempits" :P

And my lil' sis and bro, having nothing to do while waiting for my arrival...

The three of us - two girls and a guy... I now wonder how my brother has survived living with us girls ;p

There was a packet of duck's thigh soup for me, which they had for lunch.

Unfortunately, it was left dangling there, above my brother's head because I was looking forward to eating something even much, much better.....
*eyes wide open*

YESssss... CRAB!
We made a stop at Bukit Tambun to have dinner.

How could I resist the juiciness of the crab meat and the thick mushy texture of the crab's egg!

We not only had one type of crab, but TWO served with a plate of steaming hot buns.
I believe we had more food on that night, but no shots as my hands were covered with the delicious sweet and spicy crab sauce to hold the camera.

We stayed a night at a hotel near the jetty.
When we arrived at Langkawi Island, we rented a proton saga. A green one :(

Our first stop on the island was a hill overlooking a breathtaking view of sea.
The weather was awesome. The surrounding trees acted as shades from the bright sunlight.

Along the sidewalk there were various colours of hibiscus.

We stayed at Berjaya Resort. I think it is one of the best resort to stay in. Most hotels in Langkawi Island provide buggy services which brings us to and from our chalets to the lobby. After checking in, we got onto a buggy. I sat next to this cute lil baby.

I love the rooms in Berjaya Langkawi's chalets. Spacious with comfy beds.

This time round, our chalet was pretty deep inside. So deep in that we siblings couldn't resist unleashing some super powers..

My bro first:

Then me:

Then my lil sis:

;)

The good thing was that we were located right opposite the spa. Hence, we had no problem hitching a ride from the buggies that come so often to the spa.

The buggy takes us to the Langkawi Cable car and Oriental Village too, which is just a five minute drive from the resort. This time round we did not go up the cable car as we've done it the last time we came.

The resort's swimming pool was nice and a little crowded as it was the school holidays.

The beach was very nice.
