Darts competiton for IMU Cup

equals pain...

Practiced seriously for the first time yesterday morning and evening, because the darts competition was, well, yesterday evening =D

I'm playing mixed doubles therefore I can depend on my more capable partner in crime (and who shoots more accurately) to win the game, while I sort of just help him reduce the points.

Alas, we won Round 1 against Hydra. A huge difference from last year's match where Taurus (my team) lost in the first round.

How agonising it is to know that Round 2 is on the next day (TODAY!). My arm was aching and throbbing so badly yesterday after the match. Definitely due to a combination of bad playing technique and long unused muscles at that arm XD.

Today I had three hours of darts practice. The aim is to improve, be more steady, less nervous and less intimidated by the opponent.
Somehow, internally, the stomach churns and sweat starts forming when the competition is ongoing.

Round 2 better be good too! My poor aching shoulder.....

Too many things on one plate

Current state of mind: THE JUGGLER
Sorting out my life, rekindling broken connections...
and plenty other tasks..
Everything is important; everything demands attention a.s.a.p...
Hoping for that care-free weeks of holiday where I can relax, has yet to materialised....

A little rant, but work is better than no work anyways :)

Turnning back time

I've finally decided to quit Facebook. I did not deactivate it because I still need it for work purposes. But, two days of not having the urge to log on everytime, feels really good. It is like, "I was a drug addict, and I'm now undergoing rehab to be clean". I'm turning back the time to when internet was not something I needed to cure my boredom.
*Take facebook time to read a book or swim or jog or think of eating healthy*

Last week was a whirlwind of outings. Wished it ended after Penang, but I'm still booked till end of next week.
I havent even got the time to head to IMU to practice darts and the competition is next Wednesday!!

Sadly, I can never say no to outings as good food is soooo hard to resist.

Nevertheless, it is always good to find time to review ones purpose in life.
I am turning over a new leaf, step by step.

Visiting KL

This year has been a whirlwind of bringing overseas visitors (who don't know KL) around my territory.

My Malaysian friends who studies in USA comes back n does not know KL well.

My cousin from USA down in KL for summer break.

And I just received a message from another friend wanting to visit Malaysia in August. My sister and ***** coming back to KL in August too!!!

Coincidentally though, all these visitors hail from USA.......... yea, i should be half american XD

I guess it pays to study in KL at least for awhile longer so I can learn every nook and corner of KL... And have the privelage of bringing my 'tourist' around!

*Good thing someone else is bringing the Scottish ppl around.. coz I'll be so broke before the year ends XDXD

Whatmore, I have a reason for using my camera to take pictures of buildings and people.. and try more yummy food!

I wanna go back to USA :)

309th post

Tingling fingers, thats why I'm here.
Haven't been saying much
because I'm hoping and wishing for a lot of stuff to happen.
I'm that superstitous that I believe if i mention it, I shall jinx it.

It all boils down to not thinking so much about it, don't keep my hopes up high
and
Always Expect the Unexpected!

Food haunt of the week:
Top Hat Restaurant @ somewhere 5 mins from KLCC
Scrumptious meals, Perfect service, Perfect ambience
But, Pricey.

Top Hat is so good that people hold weddings and company functions there. It's a house which is able to accomodate 200+ people. Garden parties, Private rooms, Tastefully decorated dining rooms.

Worth a try though.. especially on Sundays where they are currently having a promo: 50% off all ala-carte and dessert.

Templer's Park

Dad always wanted to go to Templer's Park.
So, in conjunction with Father's Day, we went.
I know I've been to that park before, but I really don't remember a single thing about it.
When we arrived there at 8.30am, it looked like dad hasn't been there in ages too.
The surroundings looked different.

The initial plan was to go to the waterfalls. So, I wore sandals.
But when we arrived, we found out we actually had to hike to the falls.
There were six stages.
The path we took wasn't really a well maintained path.
There were fallen trees which we had to cross over, broken paths, paths covered by overgrown shrubs..;.. tough when I wasn't prepared for this sort of 'adventure'.

In the end, the journey ended as the path at one part was completely blocked by trees and we couldn't see beyond.
Aunt suggested to walk in the river... BAREFOOT. omg.. damn pain coz of the sand and stones.

I opted to walk on land and watch them torment themselves.

This thing wasn't my cup of tea. I'm not someone who would willingly risk my life and time to do stuf flike this. Why not just walk/hike on my hill?? At least it is well maintained. NO need to worry about getting dirty or falling coz of a slippery rock etc etc....

The right path

Life's hurdles...
Burdens...
Unexpected misadventures....

Every path we take, there comes a point where a question is asked - YES or NO?
After that, another question pops up - RIGHT or WRONG?
SHOULD I or SHOULD I NOT....

Life is a gamble if u chose to risk it
Life is also fulfilling if u have found the right path..

But, is there a right path?
Who shows you the right direction every step of the way?

Environmental factor:
In the ocean, if u don't swim, u will most probably drown and die.
Walking on a busy street, if u dont look left and right before crossing, u might die.
When driving, u want to stop, so u MUST step on the brake. If instead u accelerate, u die.

All these Deaths might not only trouble you, but bring grief to your family, innocent bystanders and even the countries name. It was all due to your STUBBORNESS.
You.Just.Did.Not.Listen!
You Thought You Were Right!!

So choose, think, contemplate: SHOULD I TAKE THAT STEP?
If it is wrong, is it time to move away from the ENVIRONMENT.

At first u might think that u have found your COMFORT zone...
But when trouble starts brewing, ACTIONS need to be taken...

The world is huge, there will always be a right place for the right person somewhere as every cloud has a silver lining.

PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY!
PS: If a parent tells u it is wrong, believe them and fix it.

Haircuts

Two months ago, I took 30 minutes to decide to chop off my long locks.
After 3 hours of patiently waiting for the transformation, I took 1 minute to decide to come back 2 months later to chop of more of my hair!
Two days ago, was the two month mark.
Feelings: 50% like it: 50% wishes for long hair again

The whole point of this post:
I suddenly have the urge to have fringe.
Uncertain though coz fringes are irritating to me.

I should add that all the haircuts were FOC.... but i know some of my friends who think it wasn't worthwhile with the long wait and the way the hair turned out.
But then again, I wouldn't have thought of trying out this hairstyle if it wasn't free.
There's always the danger of getting a haircut at regular saloons, and it turns out unexpected, and we're expected to pay for it.

Also, helping hair academy students to be models feels like doing charity bcoz the academy expected the poor things to search high and low on the streets of KL for willing models. I was told they sometimes were ffked or yelled at by some would-be models. Definitely not something I look forward to as a student!

I'd agree to get another haircut again if they ask, but as hard as it is for them to find willing 'virgin' haired models, I draw the line if they want to dye my hair.
