Quickie

The haze is back!

5 Great Computer Pranks:

I sneezed four times in a row.. Hoping it's not a sign that i'm falling sick!

I tried Eu Yan Sang steamboat at Shaw Parade in Pudu and it was the best steamboat ever!

Amcorp Mall has weekly weekend flea market which sells beautiful accessories at cheap prices! I highly recommend going there to shop!

There's also a bookstore on the highest floor in the mall which sells books we can find in MPH, Borders, Times, etc...but they sell it for half the price!! A must see!

It's either Dubai or Borneo Wildlife hiking for me in the coming week!
Both will be equally fabulous and terribly attractive. But, I can only choose one.
Hmmm......

I'm going for my first porcelain painting class tomorrow! Excited!!

And there's this thing called Podcasting which I've never really bothered to find out what it was about till a friend mentioned it today.

First video explains what is podcasting:

Second video shows how to make a podcast:

And now I feel like podcasting too :P

Being a tourist in my own city (II)

Filling the tummy

Living in the city, there will never be a worry about the lack of food.. (only the lack of money).. Food in the city wasn't exactly cheap.

Jalan Alor is a famous food street with rows and rows of food stalls. Since it is famous, the customers were mostly foreigners who don't know they can get the same food for a cheaper price at Imbi which is 15 minutes away. I walked the stretch of food stalls at Jalan Alor and got a number of different prices for their food.. all were unreasonably priced.

Grilled sting ray = RM12 for half

Chicken wings = RM2.20 per piece

There was another stall which sold a piece for RM2.50. I asked why so, and they waiter said, "Oh, ours is fresh chicken wings whereas the RM2.20 ones are frozen."

Pork noodle soup = RM7 per bowl

Then there's also food at Sungai Wang Complex.

There's this noodle house which serves yummy duck and not too shabby dim sum. I had that for breakfast.

Being a tourist in my own city (I)

@KL Plaza
For the past two days, I've been staying at KL Plaza Condo, which is situated at the heart of KL city. The unit I stayed at had a spectacular view of the Petronas Twin Building, other surrounding hotels, and a bird's eye view of Pavillion shopping mall.

Twas room C187. I shall remember that room number so I can request for that room again.. on New Year's Eve, maybe? ;P

I've always heard that the city was filled with weird scary people at night. I saw scary, and I definitely saw weird, but in a creative way. I saw the Gold Man and a group of musicians using recycled items as their instruments.

Summing it up

The past few weeks has been pretty hectic.

Right after EOS, I started doing some art pieces for my mum. I had the inspiration, so I decided to get started right away. Hence, with inspiration comes motivation where I stayed up till wee hours of the morning just to paint.

After four days, I stopped at 3.5/5. That is, I am suppose to do 5 art pieces but have one more to finish painting and another one left to get started on.

I couldn't continue the work till today because other things(like hanging out at the mall) just started to happen.

My sister came back from Vancouver for a one month break.

We went out for family dinners.

My sister also celebrated her birthday.

I had an english exam which I only prepared hours before the exam.

Then on the 15th my family and I left to Penang for a three day vacation.

On the 18th I drove to Genting Highlands for a nights stay.

Then today I received news that I passed my EOS, thus giving me an extra week of vacation.

On the 22nd, I'll be heading to Singapore for three days and on 26th-27th, painting the KL city red with friends :)

Suffice to say, this holiday has been fruitful thus far with days and days of things to do. There's also the upcoming family phtoshoot....

If the word travelholic exist, I'm definitely it!

Awana Golf Resort, Genting Highlands

Six of us stayed a night at Awana Golf and Country Resort in Genting Highlands. As it was low season, we managed to check-in early early morning before heading to the theme park.

This was the room we stayed in:

6 ladies, two queen sized bed, a bathroom, a table, two chairs, a tv and space to play... It was sufficient as we spent almost the entire day at the theme park and only returned to the hotel room at 7.30pm.

One Weird thing:

lolxx

CV brought Uno, monopoly and a deck of cards. Everything was taken out to play. I was asleep when they were playing monopoly and chor tai ti..

After an hour, everyone was awake and we decided to play 'heart attack'.

The game definitely left a bitter-sweet sensation for most of us. It was exciting and yet painful.....

Here's the aftermath of heart attack:

The view from the hotel's balcony:

Cheers!

Although we were all pooped out...

We did have fun!! :)
