I dig

I don't dig events held at Chinese restaurants. The ones where we book a number of tables, then choose to pay for a list of food as the course meal, then the guests comes and each sits at their assigned round table, awaiting the arrival of the food one by one.

What is the point?

It feels like watching a movie with a group of ten friends but only being able to chat with the person sitting next to you.

The course meal makes everyone sit at their places, chat with the other seven or nine people at the table, unable to mingle with the rest because the food served comes one by one, requiring us to just sit and wait. Not exactly a meaningful time spent especially when it is a birthday party.

But of course, with family gatherings comes the chance to see babies. Adoroble nieces and nephews. The next generation, making me an aunt ;p

I dig babies:) not the dig digging dig but the like dig.

Ariel is no more a baby but yet still my favorite doll. Unfortunately she only digs guys. She doesn't respond to ladies. She willingly gives my brother the 'miang' look, smiles at him and even kisses him!

Then there's Ariel's sister, Ashley. The new-comer into the family. A darling indeed.

There's also Kai Shen, born 5 months earlier than Ashley. The chubby little thing already has two mischevious older brothers.

Aside from kids, things to expect in events like this:

Alcohol, where theres bound to be at least one drunk relative at the end of the day. Nice? Nope, i don't think so.

Karaoke- sometimes...umm.. no comment
